The Great Balancing Act - Podcast #4

How much supervision is enough? And when do we, as parents, go overboard? How much freedom should we give our teens? How do we keep them safe? When can we trust them, and when should we step in and exert authority?
Finding B-A-L-A-N-C-E- between our various choices is a tricky matter, and, as parents of teens well know, it is forever changing as our kids develop and grow.
Join in our discussion as we examine parents' choices as we seek to find this balance. Joanne Greene, my co-host and I discuss how parents can make the best decisions, and how and where we gather the input we need to make good choices. We'll take a look at "Helicopter parenting" and provide some ways to tell if you are functioning this way…hopefully not.
Let us share some food for thought that you can apply to your parenting adventures as you seek to raise successful and responsible teenagers who will develop into independent, mature adults.
As promised in the podcast, you can download our popular Parent Action Tool .
